[fusion_text]Attend Meetings
It may seem like a no-brainer, but the only way you’re going to get a true sense of what a career entails is by attending the meetings and participating in the activities.

So make the commitment to attend every meeting. And if you are unable to make a meeting, be sure to tell the Advisor ahead of time!

Be an Active Participant
Ask questions, provide feedback. The more interaction between the adult leaders and the Explorers, the easier it is to dive deeper into topics and activities.

Curious if you can touch the machine? Have a question on how the activity is related to your career plans? Or notice something interesting about part of the activity? Looking on how the activity can be altered for a different result? Speak up!

Tell your Advisor what other activities you would like to see
Advisors can’t read your mind about what parts of the career may interest you. Meeting activities are typically created in advance but leave some flexibility to include Explorers interests.

So if you have something in mind, tell your Advisor. Maybe you will see that activity at a future meeting. Better yet, offer to help arrange the activity you have in mind! Doing so will give you some organizational and leadership experience (hello resume builder!) and will ensure you enjoy the activity.[/fusion_text]
